Sea wave energy is, like all renewable energy sources, inexhaustible. It is estimated that exploiting 1% of our planet's wave potential would cover four times the global energy demand. It exhibits among renewables the highest energy density. For example, on a daily basis, the wave energy contained in just one meter front exceeds 300 kWh per day; of which with existing technologies, at least 10% could be converted into electricity, giving about 30 kWh per day. In comparison, it is reported that a family of four consumes an average of 10 kWh per day.
